Cream Cheese Buttercream

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup unsalted butter soft, but still cold
  • 1 8 oz. package cream cheese
  • tsp vanilla extract
  • 5 cups powdered sugar measured then sifted

Method
 

  1. In a stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment, cream the butter.
  2. Add the cream cheese and vanilla and mix until light and fluffy. Scrape down the sides of bowl as needed.
  3. On low speed, slowly add the powdered sugar one cup at a time.
  4. Once fully incorporated, beat on high for a few minutes and then reduce the speed to low and mix for about 30 seconds to remove any air bubbles.
