Cake by Courtney’s Magnolia Cookie Cake

This is a cake we’ve had our eye on for awhile now. We absolutely love oatmeal cookies so we knew this cake would be right up our alley. The cake consist of oatmeal chocolate chip cake layers and peanut butter buttercream.

We are excited to report that this cake did not disappoint. It was everything we hoped it would be.

The texture of the cake is a mix between a cake and a cookie. More dense than your average cake and the oatmeal gives the cake a chewy texture like you would get from a cookie. The mini chocolate chips are perfectly mixed in giving you the right amount of chocolate in every bite. Just look at those layers!

The cake isn’t too sweet which balances out the sweetness of the peanut butter frosting. The frosting is smooth, creamy and just the right amount of peanut butter.

We highly recommend adding this cake to your must bake list. And don’t forget to enjoy your slice with a cold glass of milk!
